Six year old deck fiberglass failure

This is a six year old fiberglass deck that is typical of the decks we repair. The fiberglass began to fail after it went through its fifth winter. The cracks are through the gel-coat and the fiberglass allowing water to infiltrate into the structure. If not caught in time, the plywood under the fiberglass will begin to get soft and rot. Moisture can also seep into the insulation causing mold and mildew.

They now have a New Polycoat deck that will last indefinitely

After

This is a deck that leaked and a section of plywood had to be replaced. We repaired the plywood, prepped the deck and are applying   our first coat of waterproofing. After completing our four-step waterproofing system, you can see the great results in the after picture.
